New album from Rage Against The Machine?

Once again, the rumor mill has been put into play as we’re hearing that Rage Against The Machine are possibly getting ready to release a new album. But the source of this information is courtesy of an interview run through Google Translate so take it for what it’s worth.

(via ) came across an interview with frontman Zach De Le Rocha with the Chilean newspaper . Now again, based on Google Translate, here’s what De La Rocha said to a question that was asked of him.

Tercera: “The band is back together in 2007, how was this second life?”
De La Rocha: “Very good, we are all bigger and mature and you do not fall into the problems we faced 10 or 15 years. This is different and we project a lot: we are working on a new album due out next year, perhaps for the northern hemisphere summer.”

So there you go. A new album from RATM will be out next year in the northern hemisphere summer…wherever that may be. Which means it will be the first album from them since their last one, The Battle of Los Angeles, was released in the northern hemisphere summer in 1999. You’ve been put on notice.
