The Strokes name new album Angles

The Strokes are releasing more and more information about their forthcoming album. I guess it really is coming out on March 22nd.

The band have tentatively named their fourth album Angles. Is this because Julian Casablancas suddenly found a love for geometry? Actually it’s because, according to guitarist Albert Hammond, Jr., it’s called that because the album” comes from five different people.” He added, “This is the first one where we are truly working democratically. It’s taken a long time because this is a new model for us,” in his interview with Rolling Stone (via CoS).

Some of the songs on album, 10 in total, sport titles like “Taken For A Fool,” “Life Is Simple,” “Undercover of Darkness” and “Machu Picchu.”

As for the band playing live, Hammond, Jr. said that they will tour but, and this is the cool part, “We want to come back strong but slowly, so we can grow live and also make new music. We want to release albums quicker.” Bring on the tunes, guys!
