Chris Cornell announces solo acoustic tour

With all the hype Soundgarden built up in 2010, you would think that they would try and keep it going right into 2011. But that doesn’t seem to be the case as Chris Cornell has announced a solo acoustic “Songbook” tour in April. Not that that’s a bad thing!

Cornell will perform songs from throughout his career with Soundgarden, Temple Of The Dog, Audioslave and his solo career on the tour. It kicks off on April 1st in Austin, TX and will end on May 6th in San Diego, CA. All the tour dates are listed down below. Tickets for some shows are already on sale but starting January 25th, via his website, a special pre-sale will be held for tickets. You can get access to the pre-sale by signing up for his email list. You’ll be sent a password once you do so.

To get an idea of what Cornell will be like during a solo, acoustic performance, check out the video down below from his 2009 show at Hotel Cafe in Los Angeles. Then go and get yourself tickets once the video is done because it’s probably going to be an amazing show.
