Soundgarden releasing first live album in March

The first-ever live album from Soundgarden called Live On I5 will be released on March 22nd. The album features recordings from their West Coast leg of their 1996 tour (via Blabbermouth).

Gorillaz reveal new character called The Evangelist

The animated world of Gorillaz grew recently with the addition of a new character called The Evangelist.
The drawing, done by Gorillaz co-creator/animator Jamie Hewlett, was inspired by a design sent in during a contest the band held. Fans sent in submissions of what they thought this new character would look like and the winning entry was from someone with the online name of jirouta. Looks like that guy is gonna be all the rage at his next social function.

Report: Queens of the Stone debut album re-issue coming in March

The deluxe re-issue of Queens of the Stone Age's self-titled, debut album was originally supposed to be released on January 11th but has now been postponed until March 1st.

Arctic Monkeys have begun work on their fourth studio album and would like to release it this year (via NME). The album, which will be produced by James Ford, will hopefully be released in late Spring if the wishes of frontman Alex Turner are granted.
