Details of Pearl Jams Vs., Vitalogy re-issues released
In this, the 20th year of Pearl Jam’s existence, we will be privy to a brand new box set from our favorite grunge-rockers that will include all the amenities from their 1993 and 1994 albums, Vs. and Vitalogy.
On March 29th, that box set you see in the picture will be released and will include a whole bunch of goodies for the ultimate PJ fan. Besides getting the two albums, completely remastered, you’ll also receive the following. Johnny, tell ‘em what they’ll win!
-Three bonus tracks, recorded by Brendan O’Brien during the Vs. sessions, include a previously unreleased acoustic rendition of “Hold On”, unreleased studio outtake “Cready Stomp”, and the band’s cover of Victoria Williams’ “Crazy Mary.”
- Three alternate takes: “Betterman” (guitar/organ-only mix), “Corduroy”, and “Nothingman” (demo, taken from original DAT).
- Copy of Live at the Orpheum Theater, the band’s April 12, 1994 performance in Boston, MA, which features a special performance recorded at the tail end of the Vs. tour. As the press list indicates, the performance “showcases a dream setlist created especially by the Pearl Jam crew and has for years been one of the most sought-after recordings among serious aficionados.”
- Box set only: LP editions of Orpheum Theater performance, exclusive collector’s cassette w/ live tribute and studio performances from the band’s friends (originally broadcast on January 8, 1995), an 80-page composition book featuring photos, drawings, and artwork, and a glassine envelope containing lithographs, postcards, and posters.
And if that weren’t enough for you freaks, the individual albums will be released on vinyl on April 12th just in time for Record Store Day which is on April 16th.
