Check out Weezer’s jingle for State Farm Insurance
Is it bad that Weezer’s jingle they recorded for State Farm Insurance is slightly better than the stuff they’ve recently put out?
Up top is a video (via Vulture) of the band performing the song in a recording studio with the memorable tag line, “Like a good neighbor/State Farm is there.” At this point, this doesn’t surprise me at all. Between the Hurley controversy, Yo Gabba Gabba and everything else Weezer has done recently, this only seems like the next logical step. But the real question is…does this jingle make you want to buy State Farm insurance or stay as far away from it as possible?

I think they made this song a lot better, it’s not better than their originals they’ve put out lately, The Red Album and Hurley were great albums.

screw everyone who says SELLOUT, screw everyone who thinks someone is a SELLOUT, and screw everyone who thought about calling someone a SELLOUT
There is no such thing as SELLING OUT…. People play what they want to play what they want to play and people want to do what they want to do. People should quite calling people sellouts on myspace, facebook, and twitter. If you don’t like someone any more stop listening to them…not go out on a “Hey this band is a sellout” Rampage…that’s bull crap

I dont understand why people are not liking their newer stuff. Hurley was an amazing album compared to their newer stuff. As for the song, it is ok.

I am happy that companies like State Farm take a chance on this stuff. If I am not mistaken they also paid for a few of the “OK GO” videos last year. Which shows that ad dollars dollars do not have to take away from the art.

Thanks for the concepts you have discussed here. Also, I believe usually there are some factors which really keep your insurance policy premium all the way down. One is, to think about buying insurance that is inside the good set of car insurance providers. Cars that happen to be expensive tend to be more at risk of being stolen. Aside from that insurance is also good value of your car, so the more pricey it is, then higher the actual premium you spend.

Your blog is really interesting to me and your topics are very relevant. I was browsing around and came across something you might find interesting. I was guilty of 3 of them with my sites. “99% of website managers are committing these 5 HUGE errors”. http://tinyurl.com/cuyfkfj You will be suprised how simple they are to fix.
