Watch: The National – “Conversation 16″
The National, Kristen Schall and Roger Sterling from Mad Men? Those are the elements that make up the band’s music video for the haunting track, “Conversation 16,” from their amazing album, High Violet. The video premiered on MTV.com (via CoS) and features the comedienne Schall as the President of the United States and actor John Slattery, along with the band members, as her secret service agents.
Schall gets invited to a foreign country where the leader has romantic plans for him and the female POTUS while Slattery looks on all the while with a lonely gaze because he’s fallen in love with the person he’s sworn to protect. A pretty cool video that compliments one of the best tracks on the album…oh, there’s also a thong with the president’s seal on it. You think Mrs. Obama owns one of those?
