Incubus releasing If Not Now, When? on July 12th

It’s finally getting warmer out which means I’m getting back into listening to summer jams from bands like Sublime and Incubus. Brandon Boyd and the rest of the Incubus crew must be feeling the summer vibe as well since they’re releasing a new album in July called If Not Now, When?

The first single, “Adolescents,” premieres online on Monday at 9pm est. You’ll be able to check it out at Incubus’s website and then mentally prepare yourself for the new album which comes out on July 12th. I need everyone to drop to one knee and follow me in a short prayer:

Oh, Bob. We ask in your plain name that this new Incubus album bring us back to the days when Incubus was fun, exciting and, most importantly, a band worthy of blasting out of your car stereo. Please make If Not Now, When?something that isn’t the horrible accident that was Light Grenades, for you are a merciful and generous Bob. We also pray for one million dollars, Scarlett Johannson professing her love for me while naked and a box of Cadbury eggs. We ask this in your name. Amen.

UPDATE: Thanks to our west coast bros at Antiquiet, we got ourselves the new single already! Check out the new Incubus jam, “Adolescents,” down below. Here’s a hint: it’s better than anything on Light Grenades. We win!

light grenades was very nice, had good sound. the accident was actually ‘a crow left of the murder’…

  8. Rhett M Says:

guys guys! The real accident is Incubus not coming out with a new album sooner. Every album is almost like a snapshot of themselves at that time. Every album is different from the other. Making them unique and enjoyable at all times of the year. I bid you all a jolly good day! =]

  9. Danny Says:

Gotta disagree with you about Light Grenades dude. It was a mean album and definitely had some songs on it better than this song (though this song is definitely good). Try Pendulous Threads?

  10. Triple Says:

Thumbs down. Light Grenades was an instant classic.

i agree! didn’t like most of the light grenades songs! incubus just lost their magic music making.. and i don’t think they’ll get it back! at least you get visually stimulated – that’s something!
