Watch: LCD Soundsystem’s final show at Madison Square Garden
LCD Soundsystem will be a bittersweet band for me from now on. My first time seeing them was at Terminal 5 in NYC but it was two nights before their final show at Madison Square Garden on April 2nd. So while I enjoyed myself thoroughly at the concert, I realize it will be the last time I see them (until the reunion that is bound to happen 3-5 years from now but we’ll speculate later.)
But thanks to the people over at Pitchfork (there’s something I won’t write everyday) you can watch the entire MSG show in all it’s danceable glory up top. James Murphy, dressed in a tux for a nearly four hour show comprising of five sets, was the ringmaster of this dance-rock circus that featured special guests including comedian Reggie Watts joining in on “45:33 part two” and Arcade Fire singing along on “North American Scum.”
The full setlist is down below and, if you have four hours to kill, I suggest you watch the entire show. Thank you, LCD Soundsystem, and we’ll see you again at some major summer festival in 2016.
