Watch: Foo Fighters play “Rope” on Letterman



I can honestly say that last night was one of the most fun of the year for me. I went to the taping of Live on Letterman and watched Foo Fighters rock a two hour performance for the internet. The set was dressed as if it were the Beatles on the Ed Sullivan show and the band came out dressed in suits Beatles style. They played all of Wasting Light and then kicked our asses with a slew of their biggest hits. Outstanding.

But on the Late Show with David Letterman, the Foos rocked a kick ass version of the single, “Rope,” which you can watch up top thanks to The Audio Perv. Now, if you think I’ve been focusing a lot on Dave Grohl and the boys it’s because….I have been. The new album is outstanding from beginning to end and is currently the frontrunner for album of the year. So if you have a problem with all the talk of the band, I’m sure there’s an episode of Glee you can go and watch.
