Coachella Festival will be held over two weekends
Awww, are you still upset you couldn’t make it out to Coachella this year? Still bummed you didn’t get to see Arcade Fire, Kanye West, The Strokes and all those other bands in the blazing California desert? Are you really hoping you get a chance to go in 2012? Well your chances just doubled…along with how many times the Coachella festival will take place next year. That’s right! In 2012, Coachella gets two weekends (end times really must be near.)
Next year’s Coachella festival(s) will run over two consecutive weekends, on April 13-15 and April 20-22, according to their website. An update reads, “We will attempt to produce two identical festival weekends. That means same lineup, same art, same place, different people.” So it’s still in Indio at the Empire Polo Grounds and the same lineup will happen both times but now you get to choose what weekend you want to go to. Well ain’t that just the most accommodating thing?
Weekend passes go on sale this Friday, June 3rd at 10am PST and will be sold until June 10th at 10pm PST. Passes will run you $269 and will also be available through a payment plan of 10% down and eight equal monthly payments.
