I’m guessing the headline is the reason you’re reading this post. As you should since Green Day is one of those bands, whether you love or hate them, that you have to pay attention to.

According to frontman Billie Joe Armstrong’s Twitter page, he wrote that “GD has been jamming new songs everyday. There’s a ton of new songs. The direction is fresh and hi energy. Feels great.” Armstrong also wrote that he, Mike Dirnt and Tre Cool and guitarist Jason White are “having the best time playing music,” adding, “and that’s not bullshit.” Well that’s good to know because I was wondering about the bullshit factor.

Green Day aren’t doing anything on the road right now and their last release was the live CD/DVD, Awesome as Fuck. As for the “ton of new songs” that are probably all three-chord rockers, no word on when any of those will leak onto the internet officially be released.
