Rise Against has released a music video in support of the It Gets Better campaign to raise awareness about bullying. "Make it Stop" appears on Rise Against's great new album, Endgame, which is in stores right now. Frontman Tim McIlrath says that the topic of bullying hasn't really been addressed in the rock scene saying, "I decided to create the song as a response, and when I discovered the It Gets Better campaign and [It Gets Better Project co-founder] Dan Savage's commitment to such an important and concise… Read More

Watch: Eddie Vedder plays “Without You” on Letterman

Tuesday, June 21st, 2011

Monday night had some pretty good late-night performances. Colbert had Bon Iver and David Letterman invited Eddie Vedder and his ukelele, Clarence, to come on play a track from Vedder's new release, Ukelele Songs.
It's cool to see Vedder sitting alone on stage with an instrument that, for the Pearl Jam frontman, isn't one that necessarily shows the power that he has when he's playing songs like "Even Flow" or "Betterman" in front of thousands of people but still commands your attention. Vedder is one… Read More

Watch: Trivium – “In Waves”

Monday, June 20th, 2011

It's like a movie...but you're not entirely sure of the plot yet because the story has yet to evolve. That's kinda how I would describe Trivium's video for the title track off their forthcoming album, In Waves, which is out on August 9th. It's nicely shot and the song is a kick ass track from beginning to end but the band saves themselves from making you scratch your head going "WTF?!" to this video by adding "To Be Continued..." at the end of the clip. Apparently there's more to the story of the band walking… Read More
