Metallica announce 30th anniversary shows in San Francisco

We got quite a few significant anniversaries in rock music this year. It’s Pearl Jam’s 20th anniversary, the 20th anniversary of Nirvana’s 1991 album, Nevermind, and also the 30th anniversary of Metallica’s existence. So why shouldn’t one of the loudest bands in metal wanna throw a party?
This December, the band will be holding four concerts at the Fillmore in San Francisco. The shows will take place on December 5,7,9 and 10. Furthermore, according to the band’s website, “single show tickets will be just $6.00 each.” But that’s not all! They are also offering a four pack of tickets, one ticket for each show, for the price of $19.81 (get it?) Sounds like it’s gonna be a party, right? Well it is…for members of Metallica’s fan club.
Yup, to get your hands on these cheap seats you have to be a member of the band’s Met Club. Otherwise, you’ll be the one on Craigslist and StubHub buying these tix at insane prices. Like, Crazy Eddie furniture salesman insane.
So maybe it’s just better to catch them at Yankee Stadium on September 14th when they rock the Bronx with the rest of the Big Four of Thrash.
