Former Motörhead guitarist, Michael “Würzel” Burston, dies

Motörhead fans, lower your heads. Michael "Würzel" Burston, the former guitarist of the band, passed away on Saturday, July 9th at the age of 61. The cause of death is said to have been complications from heart disease.
Würzel joined Motörhead in 1984 and stayed with the band until 1995. Prior to that, he was a corporal in the army and played in a series of other bands. The name Würzel came from his comparison to a TV character named Worzel Gummidge. He would add the umlaut… Read More
