Watch: Foo Fighters Lollapalooza performance

I’ve never been more riveted whilst sitting in front of my computer screen than I was last night while watching the Foo Fighters perform at Lollapalooza. I’ve been lucky enough to see the band twice this year in very intimate venues but after watching what they did in Grant Park in Chicago, I really need to see them in a massive arena. Unbelievable.

Up top, starting at 17:44 thanks to the YouTube account Serpephone, you can check out the entire performance the Foos put on to close out the 20th anniversary of lolla. There’s a weather delay that occurs from 32:00 to 37:00 but a little rain doesn’t stop Dave Grohl and Co. as they ripped into “My Hero” while buckets of water fell from the sky on thousands of people happily singing along while getting drenched…and apparently smelling like shit from what I was told by friends who went to the festival.

I’ve never been prouder of being a rock and roll fan than after watching this performance. The Foo Fighters proved that rock and roll is king…even if it was just for one night. Hopefully, when you finish watching it, you’ll be a proud fan too.

UPDATE: NYC and D.C. fans of the Foos can now get a chance to catch the band in their own cities. FF is playing Madison Square Garden in NYC on November 13th and the Verizon Center in our nation’s capital on November 11th. A pre-sale for tickets go on sale starting August 10th at 10:00 am EST and the general on-sale happens August 12th at 10:00 am EST.
