Listen: Preview clip of Lou Reed/Metallica song, “The View”
Ummm…..well this is….uh….different? I guess? Maybe? We’ve all had a feeling that the Lou Reed/Metallica collaborative album, Lulu, would be fucking weird, for sure. But I didn’t expect this.
Up top, you can check out a 30-second preview of the track, “The View,” (via Antiquiet) and, while the riffage is all Metallica, Reed seems to be taking the spoken word route on the song. To be fair, this is a 30-second clip of a five minute song on an album that clocks in at 90 minutes so we can’t completely judge the album based on this snippet…but I know you will.
Lulu is in stores on November 1st.
Lulu tracklisting:
1. “Brandenburg Gate”

5. “Iced Honey”
6. “Cheat On Me”
7. “Frustration”
8. “Little Dog”
