Late Night with Jimmy Fallon paying tribute to Pink Floyd
OK. This is awesome. Late Night with Jimmy Fallon is upping the musical ante by paying tribute to Pink Floyd all next week. Since Floyd is re-issuing all 14 of their studio albums as well as releasing a six-disc version of Dark Side of the Moon on September 27th, reports that Pearl Jam, Foo Fighters, The Shins, MGMT and Dierks Bentley will perform songs from the band’s catalog.
It kicks off with The Shins on September 26th as the band will play “Breathe” from Dark Side. The next night, Foo Fighters AND Roger Waters will perform “The Wall.” MGMT will take over on Wednesday performing “Lucifer Sam” from the 1967 album, The Piper at the Gates of Dawn. Dierks Bentley will perform “Wish You Were Here” on Thursday and Pearl Jam will end the week with “Mother.”
In addition to all these performances, Roger Waters and Nick Mason will be interviewed by Fallon. Man, it’s gonna be a great week.
