Listen: The Flaming Lips – “I Found a Star On The Ground”
Hey you! Got six hours to kill? How about listening to the new song from the Flaming Lips? That’s right…song. As in, one song. Singular.
The track, “I Found a Star On The Ground,” can be heard down below and in three parts. Each part being two hours long, this song is an exercise in auditory stamina since listening to it takes up 1/4 of a day. Plus, if you were a massive Lips fan that really wanted to inject yourself into their music, you could have had your name put into the song for a $100 donation.

You left out all the most important details!
A) The three new songs are from the Lips’ new release, a strobo light toy
B) the six hour song features Sean Lennon (says Wayne Coyne, “It’s meant to sound eerily like the ghost of John Lennon”)
C) where can fans buy this toy? Well, so far only 11 have been sold at Portland. Wayne is selling more in Seattle tonight.

Just wanted to leave an update on how fans can get their hands on the strobo toy featuring the 6 hour song and two other new Lips tracks. So far the toy has sold in limited supply at four stores, but as of now is sold out at all locations.
