Sunday, September 18th, 2011

Ummm.....well this is....uh....different? I guess? Maybe? We've all had a feeling that the Lou Reed/Metallica collaborative album, Lulu, would be fucking weird, for sure. But I didn't expect this.
Up top, you can check out a 30-second preview of the track, "The View," (via Antiquiet) and, while the riffage is all Metallica, Reed seems to be taking the spoken word route on the song. To be fair, this is a 30-second… Read More

Watch: Arctic Monkeys – “Suck It And See”

Friday, September 16th, 2011

Bikers, babes and boobies. All and more will be seen in the new video from Arctic Monkeys for the title track of their newest album, Suck It And See. The main biker, played by Monkeys drummer Matt Helder, and his old lady ride down desolate desert roads and seem to go good and bad on one another. One minute, it's all love and sex in cheap motel rooms and the next she smashes bottles across his face. It's a pretty cool video to check out even if you don't fully understand the plot.

Thursday, September 15th, 2011

I cannot wait for this new Kasabian album to come out. Between this song and "Switchblade Smiles," Velociraptor!, it gets me excited to know that this album is going down the route of the band's debut, self-titled album which is full of dance-rock jams.
