We’ve all been waiting for as long as we can remember but now it’s finally happening. Vocalist Ian Brown, guitarist John Squire, bassist Gary “Mani” Mounfield and drummer Alan “Reni” Wren aka The Stone Roses have announced that they will reunite in 2012.
At a press conference in London, the “Fools Gold” four announced that they’ll play two shows at Heaton Park in Manchester, England on June 29th and 30th and will follow it up with a world tour. Furthermore, they’ll be playing new songs in addition to the classic tracks like “I Wanna Be Adored” and “She Bangs The Drums.” Looks like Manchester has got something else to celebrate besides having an incredible soccer team.
Tickets for the Manchester shows go on sale this Friday, October 21st at 9:30 am UK time (4:30 am EST for any American fans who really want to go). Also, the band has launched a new website for you to take a gander at.
What are your thoughts on this reunion? Are you excited or have you stopped caring due to all the rumors that have risen up over the years? In any case, it’s nice to know that the band is back even if it’s just for a tour.

I am very excited. I know a few of the members are hesitant about the tour. But, The Stone Roses are a classic band, and I just excited to see what they do next.
