Listen: The Muppets cover “Smells Like Teen Spirit”
Normally I appreciate everything the Muppets do. I feel that they rarely ever do wrong but unfortunately trying to cover Nirvana is where they fall a bit short.
Down below, via Stereogum, you’ll hear Beaker, Sam the Eagle, Dr. Teeth and other Muppets performing an acapella version of Nirvana’s “Smells Like Teen Spirit”. I’m hoping that if this rendition of the grunge classic actually is in the forthcoming film, it’s playing over the credits so I don’t have to stay and listen to it.
The Muppets is in theaters on November 23rd and the soundtrack is out on November 21st.
