Watch: Lou Reed and Metallica perform on Later…with Jools Holland
A car wreck. A tornado. A drunken bar fight at 2 am. A horribly disfigured person. These are all things that we still can’t manage to pry our eyes away from. We just have to look even though we know they’re devastating. We now have one more thing to add to that list: Lou Reed and Metallica performing “Iced Honey” from the awful Lulu.
Up top you can watch them perform the song “Iced Honey” during their appearance on Later…with Jools Holland. Down below, to try and make up for the Lulu performance, they perform “White Light/White Heat” by the Velvet Underground. Sadly, it’s not enough to cover up the disappointment.

One or two songs is cool, a whole album is self indulgent to the ones who are straight up Metallica fans. Anthrax’s ”worship music” and Accept’s ” blood of the nations’ will get me through to the next Metallica album. Experimenting and growing is fine and expected but keep it within the confines of the band. I can’t wait for the new Lemmy /Slayer cd. Oh I forgot .Slayer’s musical influences are in their music not on it.
