Trent Reznor says new How To Destroy Angels and Nine Inch Nails coming in 2012

Trent Reznor is a busy guy. Working on a score for the David Fincher film, The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, is no walk in the park. And even though Reznor is focused on putting out a fantastic soundtrack, he’s already looking ahead to the future.
Speaking with Zane Lowe on BBC Radio 1, Reznor dropped some information on a forthcoming album from his side project, How To Destroy Angels, which features his wife Mariqueen Maandig and writing partner/fellow Oscar winner Atticus Ross. Reznor said that a new album from HTDA would arrive next year and he also revealed that the band is weighing out options for some live shows next year as well.
Of course, everyone is wondering as to whether Reznor will ever bring back Nine Inch Nails. Reznor did say that he plans on spending a good amount of 2012 writing new material with NIN in mind. So there’s that glimmer of hope for you.
Check out the interview clip with Zane Lowe down below. The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo soundtrack will be released on December 9th.

I’ve just downloaded the 6-track sampler from NIN’s site. You may want to alert the hoard. TR, forever.

I heard some of your music on my mom’s channel & it’s pretty awesome.
Do you still, busy as you are put out anymore music for games? Really
like Quake I&II. RAGE is one of my favorites. Was nice to play to some great music for a change. Only know you from games but getting to know your music. My mom buys every album you put out in stores.
