You can watch Gaugh's announcement in the video down below. As to who will be stepping in to drum for the band, that would be none other than Nine Inch Nails/A Perfect Circle/Weezer/Devo drummer Josh Freese.

Watch: Green Day cover The Misfits’ “Hybrid Moments” for Metallica

Sunday, December 11th, 2011

Question: What does one Bay Area band give another Bay Area band for their 30th anniversary? If you're Green Day, you cover the Misfits.
Up top, you can check out Billie Joe Armstrong and the crew cover "Hybrid Moments" as a present for Metallica and then launch into a rendition of "Happy Birthday." It should be noted that Armstrong lovingly refers to 'Tallica in the song as "You old ass heavy metal motherfuckers." I'd say that's a pretty spot-on description.

Review: Korn – The Path Of Totality

Saturday, December 10th, 2011

On today's episode of the Rock it Out! Blog, my brother, DJ JoJoe, and I review the new Korn album, The Path Of Totality, from Roadrunner Records. The album is a mix of metal and dubstep music and incorporates electronic artists like Skrillex, Datsik, Downlink, Noisia and more.
The album, to me, doesn't work. Primarily because Korn is a band that, only last year, released an album that they promoted as getting back to their roots. Now they've released an album that, while some tracks stand out, falls… Read More
