At The Drive-In reunites

Rejoice one and all! A was recently made for the once defunct band At The Drive-In and it had the following tweet posted: “? ATTENTION ! To whom it may concern: AT THE DRIVE-IN will be breaking their 11 year silence THIS STATION IS …NOW…OPERATIONAL”

For those of you that don’t know, ATDI consists of Omar Rodriguez-Lopez, Cedric Bixler-Zavala, Jim Ward, Paul Hinojos and Tony Hajjar. The band released three albums and split up in 2001. The members then split up into two bands; Rodriguez-Lopez and Bixler-Zavala went on to create the Mars Volta while Ward, Hinojos and Hajjar created Sparta.

So far no other announcements about the band have been released but it’s expected that the band will play quite a few festivals this year. I’m guessing Coachella will be their big return party. Regardless, it’s good to have them back!
