Dublin, Ireland hates Axl Rose

Wednesday, September 1st, 2010

I have no clue what it is about the UK/Ireland region of the world but recently there's been an extreme love/hate relationship with Axl Rose...although it's leaning a bit more towards hate as of now.
Dateline: Dublin, Ireland. The O2 arena is packed to the gills with drunken Irish Guns n' Roses fans ready to get their bollocks rocked by Axl and the crew. But, like he did at… Read More

For a while now, the oh so lovely and talented Hayley Williams and her band, Paramore, have been headlining the Honda Civic tour and brought along Tegan & Sara and New Found Glory along for the ride. So the good folks at Honda reached out to us here at the RiO!B and asked us (with money) if we could promote the rest of the tour. They were also nice enough to hook up up with Paramore's new single, "Careful," for you to download!

Radiohead offer up free concert film

Tuesday, August 31st, 2010
There are many reasons why I feel Radiohead is the greatest band in the world. Rather than listing them all, I'd simply like to add one more to the pile. A concert they put on in Prague in August of 2009 was captured on video by a group of fans scattered throughout the crowd. The fans then compiled the footage and made it into a full concert film. Radiohead liked the idea so much that they gave the filmmakers the master audio from the soundboard to put into the movie. Also, the film is available to download online for free.

Axl Rose has decided to declare "war" on the promoters of the Reading and Leeds festivals that took place this past weekend in the UK.

Watch: Vampire Weekend cover Bruce Springsteen’s “I’m Goin’ Down”

Monday, August 30th, 2010
When a band takes on the idea of covering a song by Bruce Springsteen, they also have to deal with the legions of the Boss's fans nitpicking at every single note, vocal inflection and type of jeans they wore while playing the song. With this case, we bring you indie-rock darlings Vampire Weekend (Vampy Weeks to the insiders) presenting their version of "I'm Going Down."
