Death Cab For Cutie frontman Ben Gibbard is releasing his debut solo album, Former Lives, on October 16th. The album will consist of 12 tracks that were written over a span of eight years, according to a press release. Following the release of the album, Gibbard will hit the road for a limited amount of tour dates.

Slipknot launching music festival called Knotfest

Slipknot fans in the U.S. are getting their band back in a big way this year. Not only is Slipknot headlining the Mayhem festival but they’ve announced that they’re hosting their own music festival called Knotfest this August.
