AC/DC releasing own version of Monopoly

Monday, June 20th, 2011

Is this the cool thing to do now in rock? Come out with your own novelty board game in the hopes that people will actually play board games again because your band put it out? Metallica just released its own version of Monopoly and now it looks like AC/DC have jumped on that train.

Muse, Phoenix, Vampire Weekend nominated for the American Music Awards

Wednesday, October 13th, 2010
A lot of award shows are shit...ok, I take that back. ALL award shows are shit. Yet, we watch a few of them so that we have something to complain about the next day. Whether it's our favorite band getting passed over, a movie we think should win doesn't win or somebody gets real drunk and runs on stage to make an ass of themselves, we'll find something to discuss. But the American Music Awards are a complete waste of an award show. They're almost as bad as the People's Choice awards. Yet I'm inclined to write about it because some good bands (not many) have been nominated for this year's AMAs. But whoever wins, it'll still be nothing to brag… Read More

Tuesday, July 27th, 2010

Football season is back in full swing which means it's time for me to buy one of two video games I get every year. Madden '11 (with Drew Brees on the cover...he better not be cursed now) is out on August 10th and, on top of being a kick-ass game, will also feature a pretty solid rock soundtrack.
This year's game includes tracks from AC/DC, Guns N' Roses, Ozzy Osbourne, The Hives, Blur, Kiss and even Todd Rundgren. Plus there are also cover version's… Read More

AC/DC is the Iron Man 2 soundtrack

Tuesday, January 26th, 2010

In what could very well be the loudest soundtrack of 2010, AC/DC has taken over soundtrack for the upcoming blockbuster Iron Man 2.
Spin.com reports that all 15 songs on the soundtrack will come from the Australian hard rockers. It's about as close as you'll get to an AC/DC greatest hits album. Down below is the video… Read More

Download Festival lineup announced

Monday, January 25th, 2010

From June 11 through June 13, Donington Park in the U.K. will probably be the loudest place on the planet courtesy of the Download Festival.
The rock music fest just announced their incredible lineup and I may very well fly to the U.K. for this show. You've got the massive headliners AC/DC for starters but then there's the guys who gave us the best album of 2009 (according to the RiO!B) Them Crooked Vultures.
There will also be the huge return of Scott Weiland… Read More
