Radiohead, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Phish headlining Bonnaroo festival

I’ve never been to Bonnaroo. I’ve always wanted to go but I never had the money/didn’t have the time/wasn’t impressed by the line up. But I am making it my mission to get down to Tennessee this year for the ‘Roo because, dammit, I wanna listen to good music while on lots of drugs.

The line up for the Bonnaroo festival has been announced and it’s quite a big one this year. Radiohead, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Phish are headlining this year’s installment. Other acts including The Beach Boys, Bon Iver, The Shins, Foster The People, Skrillex and The Avett Brothers are also performing. But wait! There’s more!

You’ve also got Feist, The Roots, Alice Cooper, SuperJam, Black Star, Ben Folds Five, Flogging Molly, The Word, Ludacris, Mac Miller, Major Lazer, Flying Lotus, Umphrey’s McGee, Little Dragon, St. Vincent, The Black Lips, The Civil Wars, Young The Giant, Two Door Cinema Club, Fitz & The Tantrums, Bad Brains, Battles, Aziz Ansari, The Joy Formidable, Alabama Shakes, Das Racist, Mogwai, Mariachi El Bronx, K-Flay, Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr. and a whole lot more!

Tickets go on sale starting Saturday, February 18th and you can grab your tix at the festival’s website. Also, head there to see the full line up.

You ready for a brand new track from the world’s oldest living vampire? Down below, you can check out the song, “I’ll Bite Your Face Off,” from Alice Cooper’s forthcoming album, Welcome 2 My Nightmare (via CoS).

The album is in stores on September 13th and features Cooper collaborating with the original members of Alice Cooper including Dennis Dunaway, Michael Bruce and Neal Smith. Also, just to throw you for a loop, Cooper also collaborates with Ke$ha on the album as well. I know, you probably find this to be absurd but it’s nothing new. The full tracklist is down below.

When the Foo Fighters played the Milton Keynes Bowl in the UK on Saturday night, it was already going to be a huge show. But it got even bigger when Dave Grohl invited out Alice Cooper to play his smash hit, “School’s Out.” They also played Cooper’s “I’m Eighteen” before finally ending the night with “Everlong.” Check out the video up top and check out the Foo’s full setlist from the show below.

Cooper wasn’t the only one to join the band on stage that evening. Queen drummer Roger Taylor and Husker Du frontman Bob Mould showed up to perform on the songs “Cold Day In The Sun” and “Dear Rosemary,” respectively. Check those videos out down below as well.

System of a Down, Linkin Park headlining Download Festival

It’s the festival in the UK that isn’t Glastonbury and one where you may have to kick a few asses to have an exceptional time.

The Download Festival, which runs from June 10-12 in Donington Park, UK, revealed their line up and the headliners are quite big catches. While Linkin Park will get their fair share of fans, System Of A Down will be the kings of this year’s fest as they haven’t played a show together for years.

Also, Avenged Sevenfold, Korn, Pendulum, Rob Zombie, Alice Cooper, Alter Bridge and more will rock out UK fans for three days straight. Tickets are already for sale and they’ll probably go quick so you’ll need to snatch them up fast. All the ticket packages and prices are available at Download’s website.

Alice Cooper is in the Hall of Fame

Alice Cooper was nominated for induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for the first time this year. Although not many first time nominees make it into the HOF, Cooper can now say he’s one of those rare few.

He broke the news to the Arizona Republic that the Hall had told him a week ago that he would become a member of its 26th class along with Neil Diamond, Tom Waits, Darlene Love, Dr. John and Donovan. Cooper, who lives in Arizona, said, “Getting in the Hall of Fame is about the ultimate thing you can do when you’re a garage band from Cortez High in Phoenix.”

Cooper and his original band – guitarist Michael Bruce, bassist Dennis Dunaway, drummer Neal Smith and late guitarist Glen Buxton – will be inducted on March 14th. That was the band that created the classic songs “School’s Out” and “No More Mr. Nice Guy” among others. Cooper has also called himself the “oldest living vampire” and proves it time and time again with over the top stage theatrics including finding different ways to “kill” himself on stage at every show.

Cooper calls getting into the HOF “the most humbling thing in the world.” He adds, “You look out at the audience, and every guy who influenced you is sitting there, and they are the people who voted on you.” He says that his band, their management, family and friends will celebrate at his sports bar, Cooper’stown, on December 17th.
