Well it looks like we have a strong new contender for best soundtrack of 2011 and it comes from the Muppets. Yes indeed. The lives of Kermit, Miss Piggy, Fozzie, Gonzo and all the rest will be soundtracked by the likes of My Morning Jacket, Weezer, Hayley Williams, Andrew Bird, Alkaline Trio and more. Muppets: The Green Album is in stores on August 23rd and the movie doesn't hit theaters until November 23rd.
