Metallica headlining and curating two-day festival

Metallica has done many things in their day but have never curated and headlined their own two-day festival…until now.

Taking place in Atlantic City, New Jersey on June 23rd and 24th at Bader field, the festival will feature ‘Tallica headlining both nights and they will be performing both The Black Album and Ride The Lightning in its entirety. The festival will include 22 bands hand selected by the band to perform. The line up is quite interesting as it mixes the worlds of metal and hard rock with alternative and indie rock.

Playing alongside Metallica will be Arctic Monkeys, Modest Mouse, Fucked Up, The Gaslight Anthem, Best Coast, Titus Andronicus, Cage the Elephant, A Place to Bury Strangers, Roky Erickson, Lucero, Hot Snakes, The Black Angels, Gary Clark Jr., The Sword, Liturgy and Avenged Sevenfold.

Tickets are going on sale February 11th at 10am EST but a pre-sale for those that are a part of Metallica’s fan club will go from February 8-10. More info can be found at OrionMusicAndMore.com.

Rockstar Uproar Festival releases first tour dates

The 2011 Rockstar Uproar Festival, featuring headliners Avenged Sevenfold and Three Days Grace, has released the initial tour dates. The whole thing starts on August 26th in Camden, NJ and will end on October 15th. Other acts of note that will be making your ears bleed this summer include Seether, Sevendust, Bullet for My Valentine, Escape the Fate and more. Tickets for most of the shows go on sale starting June 17th at Livenation.com. The first dates are down below and more will be listed on June 29th.

Avenged Sevenfold headlining Rockstar Uproar festival

The line up for this year’s Rockstar Uproar festival has been announced and Avenged Sevenfold is leading the pack this year as headliner for the second time in a row. Besides A7X, Three Days Grace, Seether, Bullet for my Valentine and Escape the Fate will be this year’s main stage bands. As for the second stage, Sevendust will be the headliner while bands like Black Tide, Art of Dying and The Black Cloud Collective will also play the second stage.

The festival runs from August 26th until October 15th. Tour dates, tickets and venues will be announced within the coming weeks. Head to RockstarUproar.com for more information.

The Rock On The Range festival, a two-day gathering in Columbus, OH on May 2-3, will feature the bands A Perfect Circle, Avenged Sevenfold, Disturbed and Korn as this year’s headliners.

Other bands on this year’s bill include Stone Sour, Hollywood Undead, Staind, Alter Bridge, Bullet For My Valentine, A Day To Remember, Black Label Society, Hinder, Danzig, Escape The Fate, Sick Puppies, All That Remains and a whole lot more.
