There was a pro and a con to my watching this years VMA's. The pro was that I actually got paid to watch them. The con was that I had to watch every second of the shambles of an award show that MTV presented.
But, being the rock music writer that I am, it is my duty, as much as it pains me, to report on the rock music happenings at this years ceremony. Luckily there wasn't much on the rock front so this will be relatively short.

I'm no fan of MTV by any means. I probably won't even watch the VMA's this year unless I know some shit is gonna go down...which means Kanye will probably be at the awards this year. But I still give credit where it's due when it comes to bands who are being nominated.
