Mike Portnoy leaves Dream Theater

Wow. Well I certainly didn't see this coming. Mike Portnoy, legendary drummer of Dream Theater for 25 years, has left the band.
Portnoy recently released a statement which could probably explain the situation better than I could. I leave the floor to him.
