Arcade Fire, Coldplay headlining Austin City Limits

Tuesday, May 17th, 2011

I am a giant fan of Austin, TX especially after this year's phenomenal SXSW festival. The city breathes music and is the perfect place to catch a show. Which is why I'm this close to buying a plane ticket and heading back down there for Austin City Limits.
It runs from September 14-16 and the headliners include Arcade Fire, Coldplay, My Morning Jacket, Stevie Wonder and Kanye West. On top of that, artists like Fleet Foxes, TV on the Radio, Chromeo,… Read More

The Lollapalooza festival isn't that far away. It takes place on April 2-3 and...it's in Chile? Well that's certainly nowhere near Chicago.
Lollapalooza Chile, which is an offshoot of Perry Farrell's Windy City-based summer music festival, is being held for the first time in Santiago and the line up is quite stellar (via CoS).… Read More

Rock music winners at the VMA’s

Sunday, September 12th, 2010

There was a pro and a con to my watching this years VMA's. The pro was that I actually got paid to watch them. The con was that I had to watch every second of the shambles of an award show that MTV presented.

Up top you can check out Muse's kickass performance of their single "Uprising" (via TheAudioPerv) from their new album The Resistance which comes out this Tuesday. They are… Read More
