Grammy nominations revealed

Wednesday, December 1st, 2010

Well here we are again. The time when the old, white men of the recording industry decide to bestow their blessings on artists who they feel should get a Grammy award while the rest of us pull out our hair because the real talents didn’t get any recognition.

We should first be proud, however, that Arcade Fire are up for Album of the Year with The Suburbs and Florence + The Machine and Mumford & Sons are up for Best New… Read More

Muse, Phoenix, Vampire Weekend nominated for the American Music Awards

Wednesday, October 13th, 2010

A lot of award shows are shit…ok, I take that back. ALL award shows are shit. Yet, we watch a few of them so that we have something to complain about the next day. Whether it’s our favorite band getting passed over, a movie we think should win doesn’t win or somebody gets real drunk and runs on stage to make an ass of themselves, we’ll find something to discuss. Rock music winners at the VMAs

Sunday, September 12th, 2010

Wednesday, August 4th, 2010

Even though videos are no longer played on the channel formerly known as Music Television, they have nominated bands for different video… Read More

Muse were selling their souls on Twilight soundtracks

Wednesday, July 14th, 2010

Muse have finally confessed as to why their music always appears on soundtracks for the Twilight movies. Its always been about exposure. Which is good because I thought they were actual fans of the films for a minute. Phew.

Speaking to BBC’s , bassist Chris Wolstenholme said that “sometimes you’ve just got to get your music out there in different ways” and… Read More
