Watch: Blur, Coldplay, Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds perform at Brit Awards

Tuesday, February 21st, 2012

The 2012 Brit Awards took place this evening in London and, like most award shows these days, the performances clearly overshadow the actual getting of awards. This was no different as Blur took the stage for the first time in three years and performed a 12-minute set that included "Song 2," "Girls and Boys," "Parklife," "Tender" and "This Is A Low." Check out Blur's performance down below.
Other artists that took the stage included Coldplay performing… Read More

Watch: Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds – “AKA…What A Life”

Friday, October 7th, 2011

I grow more excited with every listen I get from songs off of Noel Gallagher's forthcoming solo album, Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds. The best part, of course, is that the former Oasis guitarist was never one for boasting or bragging about the quality of this album unlike his brother, Liam, and how Beady Eye's new record would change the world (it hasn't, by the way.)
Up top, is the insane music video for the track "AKA...What A Life" featuring a creepier than usual Russell Brand. Brand forces… Read More

Listen: Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds – “AKA…What a Life”

Tuesday, September 6th, 2011

Need another reason to be on team Noel? Alright, you slaphappy bastards. Down below is another new track from Noel Gallagher's debut solo album, Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds, called "AKA...What a Life." Unlike the two previous tracks Gallagher has released, this track is one you can bounce around to. The dancey track continues to make me think that Gallagher sounds a lot like Coldplay...that is, if Chris Martin was more of an asshole. Regardless,… Read More

Listen: Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds – “If I Had A Gun”

Tuesday, August 30th, 2011
Since Oasis has broken up, it seems like fans have to pledge their allegiance to either Liam or Noel Gallagher. Based on what I heard from Beady Eye and Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds....yeah, I'm going with Noel. And this song helps to strengthen the allegiance a bit more.

Watch: Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds – “The Death of You and Me”

Monday, July 25th, 2011

So up top we got Noel Gallagher's first entry of the Battle between the Gallaghers. The video is for the track, "The Death of You and Me," which appears on Noel's debut solo album, Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds. The track is a mix of country/southern jazz music and definitely not what you would expect from the former Oasis guitarist. But it's actually kind of catchy in an unusual sort of way. Listen for yourself to hear what I mean.
