This is probably OK Go’s most ambitious video to date and you know these guys love to make them some out of this world music videos.

Up top you can check out the video for “Needing/Getting” which features the primary color wearing foursome inside of a Chevy Sonic driving around a desert. Seems simple, right? Well wait until you see what the car mixed with the driving skills of frontman Damian Kulash plus musical instruments placed on a specific course can do.

OK Go, you silly bitches, you’ve done it again. The colorful foursome recorded their version of the Muppet Show theme song for the album, Muppets: The Green Album, which is in stores today. Up top is, as you should expect by now, another amazing video from the band featuring pretty much every muppet in existence as they take the band through some of their previous videos (treadmills and Rube Goldberg machines come to mind).

You can stream Muppets: The Green Album over at Spinner and the movie, The Muppets, with Jason Segel, Amy Adams and Dave Grohl, won’t be in theaters until November 23rd.

Well it looks like we have a strong new contender for best soundtrack of 2011 and it comes from the Muppets. Yes indeed. The lives of Kermit, Miss Piggy, Fozzie, Gonzo and all the rest will be soundtracked by the likes of My Morning Jacket, Weezer, Hayley Williams, Andrew Bird, Alkaline Trio and more. Muppets: The Green Album is in stores on August 23rd and the movie doesn’t hit theaters until November 23rd.

Classic songs from Muppet lore are on the OST including “Bein’ Green,” “Rainbow Connection” and, of course, the “Muppet Show Theme.” The full tracklisting is down below. You should be reminded that the movie stars Jason Segel, Amy Adams and will include a cameo from Dave Grohl.

Muse, Coldplay, Foo Fighters headlining Lollapalooza

Here it is, guys. The festival lineup you’ve been waiting for. Lollapalooza, which runs from August 5-7 in Chicago’s Grant Park, has revealed the lineup for its 20th anniversary.

Muse, Coldplay, Foo Fighters, My Morning Jacket and Eminem will takeover on headlining duties. Rolling Stone also reports that A Perfect Circle, Deadmau5, The Cars, Ween, Bright Eyes, Cold War Kids, Best Coast, Smith Westerns, Big Audio Dynamite, Explosions in the Sky and more will perform at Perry Farrell’s musical extravaganza.

Three day passes go for $215 and can be bought at the Lollapalooza website. You can also rock some VIP passes if you have $800 burning a hole in your platinum lined pocket. Yup…it’s another outrageous video from OK Go, the music video pioneers of our day. So what will it be this time? Another one-take masterpiece? Something involving dogs or paint or stop-motion or really rad dance moves? Nope. This time, they spell out their band’s name on the streets of L.A. with 100 friends.

Using Range Rover’s Pulse of the City app, the band mapped out a parade route through the streets of the City of Angels so that, when all was said and done, their name would be spelled out on the app. So they got a bunch of people with instruments together to make the parade an all day affair. The end result is a pretty cool video for the song “Back From Kathmandu” from their insane album Of The Blue Colour of the Sky.

The band also wants you to make your own parade route for a video they’re creating in 2011. By clicking right here, you can find out how to make your own video using the Pulse of the City app. So get some of your friends together and spell out something awesome on your city streets…maybe RiO!B perhaps?

Up top, you can check out the newest music video from OK Go for their song “Last Leaf.” It’s different from the usual one-take, live action videos that the band known for releasing. I’d describe this one as…toasty.

Why? Maybe because the band used 2,430 pieces of toast to put this animated clip together. Furthermore, for every second of this video, 15 pictures were taken and put together. So if you do the math…yeah that’s a ton of toast. Hopefully there were some condiments near by.

OK Go are touring throughout North America and have a show tonight in Ontario, Canada. They’ll continue touring in the U.S. and Canada until January 8th and then will head off to Europe. All the dates can be seen at OKGo.net.
