Pink Floyd re-issuing all of its albums

Well it's a good thing I'm a massive Pink Floyd fan because this just made 2011 a lot more appealing. The band, having signed an agreement with EMI, is going to re-issue all of its albums as well as previously unheard tracks, live cuts, concert videos and more under the name, Why Pink Floyd...?

Pink Floyd may reunite for charity concerts

When Pink Floyd first reunited back in 2005 for the Live 8 show in London, hope sprang from fans that the band would start playing shows again. But then, with the death of their keyboardist Richard Wright in 1988, chances of a reunion looked bleak. However, a benefit concert back in July for the Hoping Foundation brought together Waters and Gilmour. That led to an agreement with Gilmour saying he would join Waters for one show of his Wall live tour. Now, in an interview with the BBC, drummer Nick Mason has revealed that the trio may reunite for more shows in the future.

The Flaming Lips' take on Pink Floyd's classic album, Dark Side of the Moon, was one that took brass balls to do. Now frontman Wayne Coyne says that he would love to get the chance to work with Pink Floyd's head honcho, Roger Waters.

You would think that after Pink Floyd's reunion a few years ago, we were all looking at a chance to see the band put aside their differences and start playing together again.
