Well, America, our prayers have been answered...kinda.
The Big Four of Thrash - Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer and Anthrax - are indeed playing the United States on April 23rd at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California. Tickets are going on sale Friday, January 28th at 1pm EST via Ticketmaster.com and they're going to go fast because this could very well be one of the biggest shows in the U.S. this year.

The Suburbs and Florence + The Machine and Mumford & Sons are up for Best New Artist. It's talent that definitely…

Slayer continues to keep their name in our minds in 2010. First, it was the epic World Painted Blood. Then a European "Big Four" tour, followed by a tour in North America with Megadeth, Testament and Anthrax. Now, just for funsies, they're releasing a box set of all ten albums that they've released with American Recordings.
The Vinyl Conflict is what it's called and it'll feature the following albums:

With all the Big Four of Thrash shows that were taking place in Europe during the Sonisphere festivals, we here in the U.S. and Canada were a bit peeved that the Euros were getting shows of a historical nature and we got nothing. But all that may change come 2011.
In an interview with
Classic Rock magazine, drummer Lars Ulrich said that he would definitely…
