On today’s episode of the Rock it Out! Blog, I review the new album from the Smashing Pumpkins, Oceania. I’m happy to say that I’m a fan of this album unlike much of the previous works that Billy Corgan has released in the past. It’s a big rock album where you can hear the whole band getting involved as opposed to Corgan writing and recording the music on his own.

You know what? I’m not surprised by this. Not at all. We’ve been making fun of Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan and his love for pro wrestling for a while now. Not one but two new Smashing Pumpkins songs have made their way onto the web and neither of them are on the band’s website.
First up, we have “The Fellowship” which will eventually be a part of SP’s Teargarden by Kaleidyscope project but if will first appear on the soundtrack for the TV show The Vampire Diaries. The OST will appear in stores on October 12th but you can check out the song down below.
