Watch: The Kills – “The Last Goodbye”

Thursday, January 12th, 2012

In honor of their 10-year anniversary of being a band, Alison Mosshart and Jamie Hince aka The Kills released this music video for their song "The Last Goodbye." It was shot and directed by Academy Award nominee Samantha Morton and it's a pretty and simple video (via Nowness.com).
It features Mosshart and Hince taking photos together in a photo booth and was shot in monochrome on "crisp, silvery 35mm" for you cinemaphiles out there. But not only is there a… Read More

Friday, December 16th, 2011

Even though the new album from The Kills didn't make our top five albums of 2011 list (it's still a great album though), we cannot, in good conscience, ignore a timeless Christmas carol sung by the sultry Alison Mosshart.
Down below, thanks to a find from Some… Read More

Watch: The Kills – “Future Starts Slow”

Thursday, June 23rd, 2011

Behold a new video from a band whose new album made my list of the best albums of 2011 so far. The Kills give us an inside look at their life as a band as they perform the song "Future Starts Slow" on stage. While not playing in front of rabid audiences, however, Alison Mosshart and Jamie Hince are pretty down to earth. Walking together along streets, having lunch in diners, sitting in Conan O' Brien's empty studio...you know, the normal… Read More

The RiO!B at SXSW

Monday, March 21st, 2011

From March 15-20, I resided in Austin, TX for the 25th installment of the South by Southwest festival. This was my second go-around at SXSW and it was infinitely better than last year's just after the first night! Between the shows, late night pedicab rides, Texas BBQ, riots, uprisings, running into old friends, making new friends and holding our very own party to end the week, this is a week that will remain as one of the RiO!B's best and most fun.
And since we thrive on… Read More
