It happened again! Another night of celebration as Pearl Jam gathered the teeming masses to Alpine Valley theater in Wisconsin for the second night of their 20th anniversary bash. Like the first night, there was another reunion of Temple of the Dog as well as a bunch of collaborations for the diehard PJ fans to take in.

Down below, you can see video of Temple performing “Call Me A Dog,” PJ frontman Eddie Vedder hitting the stage with Queens of the Stone Age rocking a cowbell on “Little Sister,” QOTSA frontman Josh Homme appearing on stage with The Strokes during their track, “New York City Cops,” and a brand new song performed solo by Vedder (via CoS.)

Should more videos surface, you know we’ll have them here.
This weekend isn’t just Labor Day weekend but it’s also the weekend we celebrate the 20th anniversary of Pearl Jam’s existence. The band is doing so by holding their own festival at the Alpine Valley theater in East Troy, Wisconsin. Night one took place on Saturday night and it was a buffet of goodness for all the diehard PJ fans that made the trip to help the band celebrate. Up top, you can check out a Temple of the Dog reunion that took place as Chris Cornell hit the stage to perform “Hunger Strike” alongside Eddie Vedder.

Down below is more video featuring Temple of the Dog and a tribute to Mother Love Bone. Cornell, along with PJ’s Stone Goddard and Jeff Ament, Greg Gilmore and Bruce Fairweather performed the song “Stardog Champion” to honor the memory of Andrew Wood. You’ve also got video of Pearl Jam and Queens of the Stone Age frontman Josh Homme performing “In The Moonlight” together and video of Julian Casablancas of The Strokes jumping on stage to perform “Not For You.” Also, there’s footage of Vedder jumping on stage with The Strokes to perform “Juicebox.”
Finally, a cool looking music video and it comes from the Strokes. Up top, you can check out the brand new video for the band’s new single, “Taken For A Fool,” (via CoS) which does feature the band simply performing the song but visually it knocks you right on your posterior. The way it was filmed makes it look like a mix of a 3D movie with a strange psychedelic look that features frontman Julian Casablancas appearing on different parts of the screen while singing the song at the same time. Good job to them for taking a bland “band-performance” video and spicing it up a bit.

Pearl Jam is 20 years old this year and what better way to celebrate than with a two-day birthday party! The details of PJ’s 20th anniversary festival have been released and here’s what you need to know.

The festival goes down at the Alpine Valley Music Theater in East Troy, WI on September 3-4 and the band will headline both nights. But they also invited some of their friends to join in on the festivities. The Strokes, Queens of the Stone Age, Mudhoney, Liam Finn, John Doe and a whole lot more will also perform over the two days. Tickets go on sale June 4th unless you’re a fan club member in which case you get a pre-sale starting May 23rd.

But the U.S. isn’t the only country that’s celebrating the band’s big 2-0. Canada gets in on the fun when the band tours the Great White North starting September 11th in Toronto, ON. The tour ends on September 24th in Vancouver, BC and tickets for all the dates go on sale starting May 27th.

The Strokes may not have fully enjoyed making their new album, Angles, but the end result is a series of tracks that may add up to equal one of the best albums of 2011.

Now, thanks to our buddies at our favorite Seattle radio station, 107.7 The End, you can check out two new songs from the album, “Machu Picchu” and “Taken For A Fool.” Personally, when I first heard “Machu Picchu” a few weeks back, I immediately thought it should have been the first single. However, an argument that the song isn’t “Strokes-y” enough was used and, as ridiculous as it sounds, I had to concede.

But you should check the songs out and hear for yourself. And then get your money ready to buy Angles when it hits stores on March 22nd.

For the third time, the Strokes made their return to the stage of Saturday Night Live to perform two songs from their forthcoming album, Angles. Up top you can watch their performance of the new single, “Under Cover Of Darkness,” which features frontman Julian Casablancas and his “I’ll perform but continue to look really bored” attitude. Although, right before the song ends, a loud “fuck it!” exits his lips on national television. That phrase pretty much sums up the Strokes on SNL: We’re here, we’ll play, you’ve been waiting for us forever and you’ll like whatever we do…fuck it.

Down below, you can check out their performance of a brand new song from the album called “Life Is Simple In The Moonlight.” Tell me you don’t think you hear a huge influence from The Police when you listen to the track. Stewart Copeland would be damn proud of that drumming pattern.

Angles is in stores on March 22nd. We should give thanks to The Audio Perv for the videos.
