The newest episode of
No Reservations with Anthony Bourdain piqued my interest primarily because Josh Homme, frontman of Queens of the Stone Age/Them Crooked Vultures, was the special guest on the episode. And besides seeing Bourdain and Homme drink, eat and fuck around in the Northern California desert for an hour, Homme also recorded some music for the episode.

What a big night for rock music at the Grammys. While the majority of the ceremony was on par with getting kicked in the scrotum by a mule (follow my
Twitter to check out my commentary,) some highlights included a performance from Bob Dylan, Mick Jagger and Arcade Fire and wins for Black Keys, Iron Maiden, Neil Young, and Arcade Fire for Album of the Year. All the winners are listed down below along with videos of…

Well here we are again. The time when the old, white men of the recording industry decide to bestow their blessings on artists who they feel should get a Grammy award while the rest of us pull out our hair because the real talents didn't get any recognition.

The Suburbs and Florence + The Machine and Mumford & Sons are up for Best New Artist. It's talent that definitely…

Sad news coming from the Eagles of Death Metal. Their bassist, Brian O'Connor, was diagnosed with cancer and underwent surgery today. He'll start chemotherapy in three weeks. Never fun.
But the rock n' roll community is a tight one and some friends of his are coming to his aid. Them Crooked Vultures will hold two benefit concerts, one in London and one in Los Angeles, to raise money for Brian's medical expenses. The show in London will take place at Brixton…

Not only was Record Store Day a day reserved for indie-rock bands to release exclusive material, but also for hard rocking supergroups.
Them Crooked Vultures made their way to record store shelves but try as I might I couldn't get my hands on a copy of their EP (and I really tried...like I went to five stores and no one had it.)
Luckily, my good friends over at

With the formation of Them Crooked Vultures, fans were happy to see Josh Homme, Dave Grohl and John Paul Jones team up. But they also wondered what would happen to their other favorite bands these men were a part of.
Well we know that
nothing is happening with Led Zeppelin anytime soon. The Foo Fighters
