Watch: Thom Yorke DJ’s new Radiohead remixes

Monday, June 13th, 2011

Thom Yorke is immersing himself more and more into DJing these days. So much so, that he's even got little dances he does when banging the ones and twos. But his most recent time behind the decks had the Radiohead frontman playing new remixes of The King of Limbs tracks which are coming out on July 5th. Up top, you can check out Yorke spinning at Plastic People in London with Four Tet last Friday… Read More

Thom Yorke is all over the place!

Monday, March 21st, 2011

If you were scratching your head after listening to Radiohead's The King Of Limbs, wondering why all these "noises" were on the album as opposed to a proper band, this may clarify things a bit for you.
Up top is a new single from Thom Yorke, Four Tet and Burial called "Ego" which was released last week. Down below is the b-side called "Mirror." The artists collaborated together and are releasing a 12" on March 21st which can no… Read More

Thom Yorke and the British PM team up for a “silent single”

Tuesday, October 19th, 2010

As I feel that Radiohead are the best band on the planet, I'm required by RiO!B law to talk about anything that RH or their fearless leader, Thom Yorke, may take part in. But this story may be the oddest one yet.
Consequence of Sound reports that Yorke, along with producer Mark Ronson and the British Prime Minister David Cameron have teamed… Read More

Watch: Atoms For Peace at Coachella

Tuesday, April 20th, 2010

I finally found them! Didn't think it would take this long but they're finally here.
Of course, I'm talking about videos of Thom Yorke's funky new band Atoms For Peace. They played the Coachella festival over the weekend and, based on the videos, they killed it!
It's amazing what a live band can do for Thom's songs from his 2006 solo album The Eraser. I love the album but I love it even more now because of the added funk provided by the bass… Read More

Watch: Atoms For Peace – “Love Will Tear Us Apart”

Friday, April 16th, 2010

Seeing Atoms For Peace live was such a huge thrill for me as I'm a massive Radiohead fan. So it's good to see Thom Yorke, Flea and the rest of the guys crushing it every time they play a live show. Ah, if I were only at Coachella… Read More

Watch: Thom Yorke debuts new song

Tuesday, April 6th, 2010

Last night, Thom Yorke's new band Atoms For Peace kicked off their mini-tour in New York City and I was lucky enough to go to the show.
It was an amazing performance! The band (Yorke, Nigel Godrich, Flea, Mauro Refosco, Joey Waronker) played all of Yorke's solo album, The Eraser, from beginning to end. Songs like "Harrowdown Hill", "The Clock" and album closer "Cymbal Rush" all had a new life to them thanks to the funkiness (and blue hair) supplied… Read More
